If you are here maybe you met us while we were traveling, and you are stopping to see what we are up too. Perhaps you are a relative or friend, checking in. Maybe you are here because you have just met us and want to get to know us a little better. Perhaps you are a romantic soul that enjoys pretty pictures and a unique perspective. Maybe you, like me, enjoy hearing about what people cook and where they travel. Whatever the reason, thank you for being here.
We are currently in the Piedmont of North Carolina, in the diverse and beautiful Alamance County. It is vastly different from growing up on a sandbar, but it is offering lovely new friends, wide open spaces, and an abundance of life lessons.
I have been working on a sheep farm for the past year. It is enjoyable and inspiring, and has provided some amazing skills and knowledge.
We have been getting to know this newest version of ourselves, which has provided some really surprising strengths as well as some new growing pains.
The plan is to share the journey, both retrospect and current, as we keep our eyes and hearts open for a farm to call our own.
